Thalapathy Vijay's Master is one of the biggest hits of this year and it brought back the audience to the theatres after the Covid 19 scenario. The film revived the Indian box office in style and theatre owners and distributors managed to earn huge profits through the film. Though the film received humongous offers for a direct OTT release, Vijay and the team of Master stood firm in their decision to release the film only in theatres and their decision paid off well. Having said that, Rhevanth Charan, the Executive Director of Rohini Silver Screens has informed that Master will be screened in theatres once again, as a mark of love and dedication to Vijay.

The theatres in Tamil Nadu have been shut down for the past two months due to the severity of the second wave of Covid 19 and the screens are expected to reopen in July. Rhevanth has planned to screen Master once the theatres reopen and he took to his official Twitter page to share this news. Rhevanth's tweet read, "Once theatres reopen, #Master will be one of the first movies to be screened as a dedication to @actorvijay Anna for the courageous decision he took amidst the circumstances. #Beast". This update has excited the Vijay fans and it looks like we can expect a good amount of crowd coming back to the theatres to watch Master.

Master was directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj and produced by Xavier Britto under the banner of XB Film Creators. The film had music composed by Anirudh Ravichander. Makkal Selvan Vijay Sethupathi played the villain in Master and his face off against Vijay was one of the major highlights of Master.

Vijay's next film will be Beast which is expected to release in theatres for next year's Pongal festival. Beast is directed by Nelson of Kolamaavu Kokila fame and has Pooja Hegde playing the female lead.
