The song that continues to reign at the top of the charts, 'Vaathi Coming' from 'Thalapathy' Vijay's blockbuster, Master, has gone on to become one of the most-celebrated Tamil tracks in recent years, with a number of cover versions and dance performances done by fans and celebrities, including sports superstars since its release in early 2020. Composed by 'Rockstar' Anirudh Ravichander with lyrics penned by Gana Balachandar, the foot-tapping number from Master has been sung by the duo, with several records already achieved down the road. In that light, the 'Vaathi Coming' video song featuring Vijay electrifying the dance floor with his suave yet thara local dance steps, is now en route to achieving yet another massive record as it is set to cross the 200 million views mark on YouTube. Incidentally, the 'Vaathi Coming' video song is also the first song for Vijay to cross 200 million views and is the second occasion for Anirudh after 'Why this Kolaveri' from 3. 

Honoring the special occasion, Anirudh appeared in a special video thanking fans for their response to the 'Vaathi Coming' song's success, while also sharing his thoughts on how the track went on to accomplish such a grand feat. In a video released by Sony Music, Anirudh states, "The ‘Vaathi Coming’ song is set to touch 200 million views on YouTube. And, the lyric video too has crossed 130 million views. Collectively, the song has crossed 330 million views, while also achieving big records on all streaming platforms. I love you all for taking the song from Tamil Nadu to the national level and also making it a grand success internationally as well. We have seen thousands of dance and cover versions of the song, including Bollywood stars and cricket superstars dancing to it. I felt proud when many cricketers danced to the song on the cricket field and at the same time this gesture was humbling."

Anirudh further added, "The success of 'Vaathi Coming', all the credit goes to 'Thalapathy' Vijay sir, director Lokesh Kanagaraj and choreographer Dinesh master, because the shoulder tilt movement step has attained a big reach overseas as well.
