Actor turned politician Rajinikanth's upcoming film, tentatively titled Thalaivar 168, under the Sun Pictures banner is being directed by Viswasam fame Siva. Touted to be a rural family entertainer, the film featuring music by D. Imman has been rumored to be titled as Annaththa with speculations rife that it would be hitting theatres as an Ayudha Pooja holidays release in October this year

With production on the film currently progressing at a steady pace at the Ramoji Film City in Hyderabad, a new photo from the Thalaivar 168 shooting spot is now doing the rounds on social networking forums where we see Rajinikanth sporting a new look alongside popular singer and Bigg Boss Telugu 3 winner, Rahul Sipligunj.. Sun Pictures is going full out on making Rajinikanth's Thalaivar 168 as big as possible with its cast featuring actresses Khushbu, Meena, Keerthy Suresh followed by Prakash Raj, comedians Sathish, Soori, Kolamaavu Kokila fame 'Tony' Redin Kingsley among others in major starring roles. Furthermore, Nayanthara being roped in for Thalaivar 168 came as a major surprise to fans with the leading superstar actress speculated to be playing the role of a lawyer.
