During the troubled times we are facing due to the COVID-19 Novel Corona Virus Pandemic, several films stars have made hefty donations for the welfare of people. Actor Mohanlal who had earlier contributed a sum of 50 Lakhs to Chief Minister's Distress Relief Fund (CMDRF) to counter the coronavirus has now donated an autonomous robot for the COVID-19 ward located at the Kalamassery medical college. He made this donation through his Viswasanthi Foundation. The robot will reportedly be on duty as a caregiver at the isolation ward at the medical college from April 25. The robot is named as KARMI-Bot and was developed by a company called ASIMOV robotics.
