Manikandan Achari who played one of Gnanam(Aadukalam Naren)'s henchman in Petta got hitched yesterday at a temple in Tripunithura, Kochi. He got married to Anjali in a simple temple wedding during the Corona lockdown. Only a few family members from both the sides were present at the ceremony. Manikandan has announced that the money that he saved by conducting a low-key wedding will be donated to Kerala Chief Minister’s Relief Fund. That’s a commendable gesture by the award-winning Malayalam actor. Here are a few photos of his wedding:

Manikandan and Anjali's families followed social-distancing rules and protocols during the wedding. They had decided the wedding date and venue six months ago and did not want to postpone it due to coronavirus lockdown. Talking to the media after the wedding, Manikandan said, "We will overcome Covid-19. We are happy to contribute to the relief fund and we aren't upset that our wedding wasn't a grand one." The couple had planned for the wedding six months ago and they had even invited film stars for the function but the situation now is different. We wish Manikandan and his wife a happy married life!
