A film that set fans talking right from the moment it was announced, Maha, is a thriller featuring Hansika in the lead role. The excitement shot up after it was announced that STR would be playing the role of a pilot in an extended cameo in the film being directed by newcomer U. R. Jameel under producer V. Mathiyalagan's Etcetera Entertainment banner featuring music by Ghibran.

With a major chunk of filming on Maha recently being carried out on Simbu and Hansika a few days back, the makers have now released the first of the many character posters starting with actor Srikanth. U. R. Jameel took to his Instagram page to tease Srikanth's character in the film in the new Maha poster saying "everyone is a villain and everyone is a hero, it’s based on who narrates it to whom". As of now, not much is known about Srikanth in the film and Jameel's statement leads us to believe that he could be playing a character with dual shades akin to an anti-hero. Expectations for Maha are huge considering the film marks the reunion of STR and Hansika on the big screen after their 2015 rom-com, Vaalu, which had fans wanting for more of their chemistry. The shooting spot pictures and promotional material featuring the two as well have received a thumping response with the makers eyeing to bring out the film in theatres this year.
