Many leading stars have portrayed the iconic superhero Spider-Man, in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The latest to don the Peter Parker avatar and also play his alter-ego Spider-Man, is the young Brit Tom Holland. Tom shot to fame with the 2012 movie The Impossible and he gained worldwide recognition after playing Spider-Man in the Marvel movie Captain America: Civil War! After this film, he became one of the most loved characters from MCU and made an appearance in all the Avengers movies afterwards, till Avengers: Endgame, in 2019. Tom Holland returned as Spider-Man in the 2019 movie Spider-Man: Far From Home and has since lent his voice for characters in two movies.

In a recent interview to the media, Tom Holland has mentioned that he is going off social media for good. Earlier, in October 2019, Tom Holland had revealed that he was quitting Instagram but his account continued to post promotional material for Robert Downer Jr.'s Dolittle, in which he voiced the character Jip. However, Tom Holland has now revealed that he no longer has an Instagram account as he felt that it was consuming too much of his real life and had turned into an obsession.

Tom mentioned that it was taking over his life and that he was getting highly obsessed with how many likes he was getting and what people were saying about his photos or what others were doing on social media. He added that he is now focussing on his career and the future and wants to shape it properly. Tom Holland's next release would be the Disney Pixar animated movie Onward, in which he is lending his voice for the character Ian Lightfoot! His subsequent releases would be The Devil All the Time, Chaos Walking and Cherry!
