Lives of people all over the world have been badly affected due to the outbreak of coronavirus. India is currently on a national lockdown until the 14th of April and this lockdown could possibly be extended until the end of this month. The daily wage workers who earn money (beta, salary) through daily movie shootings are really finding it difficult to meet their needs and to support them, notable Tamil actors and technicians have been lending their helping hands. On that note, comedian Soori has now donated 100 rice bags, each of 25 KGs, to the members of the FEFSI union.

Similarly, he also donated 20 rice bags, each of 25 KGs to the Tamil Supporting Actors union in Nadigar Sangam. It can be recalled that Soori had already donated an amount of Rs 1 lakh towards Nadigar Sangam for the Corona relief funds. He also provided food for around 100 people today (April 10). It is good to see this humble gesture from Soori and it indeed shows his humanity.

On the work front, Soori is currently a part of Superstar Rajinikanth’s Annaatthe, directed by Viswasam fame Siva and Jyotika’s untitled film directed by Era Saravanan. Soori will also be making his debut as a lead actor with acclaimed director Vetri Maaran’s next, which will be produced by Elred Kumar’s RS Infotainment. For now, let us hope the corona pandemic situation ends as soon as possible so that all of us can return to our normal lives.
