Sivakarthikeyan's third production venture after Kanaa and Nenjamundu Nermaiyundu Odu Raja will be Vaazhl which is all set for release on July 16. By next Friday, we'd have seen the film and it promised to be an exciting watch. Vaazhl will have a direct OTT release on the Sony Liv platform on July 16 and it is the first direct OTT release film for Sony Liv. The trailer and songs of the film were launched yesterday (July 9) and it has opened to an overwhelming response. The trailer, especially, has got highly positive reviews, with praises coming in for the stunning visuals and intriguing cuts. Vaazhl is directed by Arun Prabu Purushothaman who made an impactful debut with Aruvi and it looks like he has got another potential winner in hand.

Meanwhile, in yesterday's audio and trailer launch event that happened on a small scale due to Covid restrictions, Sivakarthikeyan revealed super exciting information. SK mentioned that he was initially approached to act in this film during the very initial stages of his career, around 9-10 years before.

Talking about it, SK said, "Vaazhl is more of an experience than just a watch. When I just entered the industry, Arun narrated this story and asked if I could act in it. To be honest, I could not understand the essence and impact of this story at that time. Don't ask me if I've understood now, but that was how I was brought up. We've all grown up seeing our own Tamil films and this one was quite different for me to understand at that time. I should've acted in this film, but at that time, I wasn't aware of this style of filmmaking or presentation and was not sure about it. Later, he went on to make Aruvi which stunned all of us.

After seeing Aruvi I called Arun and told him that the film gave me the impact of watching a K Balachander / Balu Mahendra film. Later, when we decided to collaborate again, we thought we'll do this, but this time as a producer. Vaazhl is a tough film, from a producer's point of view. More than money, this film needs passion and patience which was there in all of them associated with the project. That is why the film has come out really well. For the first time, I've added the 'proudly presenting' tag since I felt I can be proud about producing and presenting this film". Wow! That's interesting, right?. The lead role in Vaazhl has been played by Pradeep Antony, who earlier acted in the role of an assistant director in Aruvi.
