Sivakarthikeyan is a happy man these days after his recently-released film, Namma Veettu Pillai, under director Pandiraj and produced by Sun Pictures has turned out to be a success. The box office success of Namma Veettu Pillai comes at a time when his previous two ventures, Mr. Local and Seema Raja didn’t perform as big as the actor would have expected. Likewise, his production banner, Sivakarthikeyan Productions started off with a bang with last year’s Kanaa tasting major victory while his Nenjamundu Nermaiyundu Odu Raja fell short of emulating a similar kind of favorable outcome. Meanwhile, his third production venture, Vaazhl, under Aruvi director Arun Prabhu has entered post-production with the team officially announcing that dubbing has begun after a formal pooja earlier today.

Featuring newcomers, Vaazhl is jointly being produced by Sivakarthikeyan Productions and Madhuram Pictures and includes in its technical team names like Pradeep Kumar scoring music, Shelley for cinematography, editing by Raymond Derrick Costa, Sreeram for art direction, stunt choreography by Dilip Subbarayan, sound design by Jaikar and costume designs by Dinesh Manoharan. As for Sivakarthikeyan’s upcoming starring roles, the actor also has in his kitty Irumbu Thirai director PS Mithran’s action drama, Hero, followed by Vignesh Shivn’s SK 17 under the Lyca Productions banner, the much-awaited sci-fi film, SK 14, under Indru Netru Naalai fame R. Ravikumar’s direction and the tentatively titled, SK 18, to be helmed by Kolamaavu Kokila director Nelson Dilipkumar.
