A notable big name in the Tamil film industry, RK Suresh made his debut as a producer in 2011 with the film, Thambikottai, under his Studio 9 banner. He then went on to produce Vijay Antony's Salim 2014 after which he tasted blockbuster success in 2016 with Dharma Durai, starring 'Makkal Selvan' Vijay Sethupathi under Seenu Ramasamy's direction. RK Suresh subsequently also made a jump into acting in National Award-winning director Bala's Thaarai Thappattai playing the villain, followed by roles in films like Vishal's Marudhu, 'Chiyaan' Vikram's Sketch, the adult comedy Hara Hara Mahadevaki, Sivakarthikeyan's Namma Veetu Pillai, including Sun Entertainment's direct-to-TV venture, Pulikkuthi Pandi, which had Vikram Prabhu and Lakshmi Menon as the lead pair. 

On the personal front, RK Suresh, who entered a secret wedlock to his lady love, Madhu, a cinema financier from Chennai last year in October, was recently blessed with a daughter on April 23. Earlier, the couple had organized a lush baby shower function, which saw many reputed names from Tamil cinema gracing the occasion to wish them the best for the next big phase of their lives. Having said that, RK Suresh on Father's Day on Sunday posted a picture of his newborn daughter for the first time ever, who can be seen sitting on the lap of her dear daddy, with the photo garnering a big response from fans, with wishes pouring in. Coming back to RK Suresh and his upcoming films, the producer-turned-actor had made a transition to playing the lead role in films namely Billa Pandi, Vanmurai, including the recently-released Vettai Naai and is set to follow it up next with director Bala's upcoming production venture, Visithiran, which had an intriguing teaser released sometime back. The film is an official remake of the smash hit Malayalam venture, Joseph, which had Jagame Thandhiram fame Joju George in the lead role, whose performance fetched him the National Award - Special Mention.
