Several notable film and television personalities have been making their financial donations to Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Corona Relief Fund. Having said that, veteran Tamil producer Kalaippuli S Thanu has donated an amount of Rs 10 Lakhs towards the Corona Relief Fund. He sent a hand-written letter and a cheque for Rs 10 Lakhs to Tamil Nadu Chief Minister, MK Stalin. Writing in the letter, producer Thanu appreciated Chief Minister Stalin for his good deeds in the last one month and said that Tamil Nadu will come out of the crisis situation very soon. This generous donation from producer Thanu is an appreciable gesture and it has garnered attention among the industry insiders.

On the professional front, Thanu tasted success with his last release, Karnan which featured Dhanush in the lead role. Karnan, directed by Mari Selvaraj, was a sensational hit at the box office. Despite getting to run only for a short time in the theatres due to the pandemic, Karnan managed to earn huge profits and it was also a film that was widely appreciated for its strong content. Up next, Thanu has two biggies in his lineup - Naane Varuven with Dhanush and Vaadivaasal with Suriya.

Talking about Naane Varuven, the film is directed by Selvaraghavan and it marks the fourth collaboration of Dhanush and Selvaraghavan after Kaadhal Konden, Pudhupettai, Mayakkam Enna. The film will have music scored by Yuvan Shankar Raja, while the cinematography will be handled by Arvind Krishna. The shooting of Naane Varuven is expected to begin by the end of this year.

On the other hand, Vaadivaasal is Suriya's next with director Vetri Maaran and the film has got huge expectations among the fans and film buffs. Vaadivaasal is touted to showcase Suriya in a completely new dimension and it is surely an exciting project to watch out for. Vaadivaasal will have music composed by GV Prakash Kumar. The film is based on the Tamil novel of the same name, written by CS Chellappa.
