For the past 6 months, it is speculated that Vijay’s next film Thalapathy 65 will be produced by Sun Pictures and the project will start rolling once the lockdown gets released. It was also said that Vijay's salary for Thalapathy 65 will be more than South Indian market leader Superstar Rajinikanth's salary. Thalapathy's recent success streak has given him a big fortune. It is reported that Vijay would be getting a fat cheque of over 100 crore rupees for this untitled big budget entertainer produced by Sun Pictures making him the most paid South Indian film star. Now the latest rumour that has been doing rounds is that Baahubali star Prabhas is likely to be paid even more than Vijay for his upcoming film directed by Nag Ashwin. If reports from Tollywood are said to be true, Prabhas would be getting a remuneration of 70 crores plus the dubbing rights of the film which would amount to over 30 crores. Wow, that’s a huge figure. So, does this make Prabhas the most paid South Indian star? Maybe, but we will have to wait for an official confirmation from the makers to know if this news is true. But in general, productions houses are very secretive when it comes to remuneration and business-related questions.  
 
This upcoming Prabhas movie would be directed by Mahanati director Nag Ashwin. This project, which was originally scheduled to take off towards the second half of this year, has now been postponed to next year because of the worldwide shutdown due to the COVID-19 Corona Virus Pandemic. Sources in the know state that Prabhas 21 would only begin shoot from early next year – 2021. The makers recently made an exciting announcement for all Prabhas fans that Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone has been roped in to play the female lead in Prabhas 21. But before starting this project Prabhas first needs to complete Radhe Shyam. The shooting for this film has been suspended because of the COVID-19 Corona Virus Pandemic. The unit of Radhe Shyam, which was filming in Georgia, went into self-quarantine, on their return from Georgia and were indoors during the lockdown period and now that things are getting better, they will be hopeful in resuming shoot very soon.
