Dhanush's first film of 2020, Pattas, featured him in dual roles for the second time after the 2016 super-hit, Kodi, and on this occasion as father and son under RS Durai Senthilkumar's direction. The action drama produced under the Sathya Jyothi Films banner included chart-buster music by the Vivek-Mervin duo and has turned out to be a commercial success for the makers, who have been giving fans various treats from the film in the form of promos and video songs.

Sathya Jyothi Films have now released the much-awaited 'Mavane' song's full video from Pattas featured on Dhanush honing his skills in the ancient Tamil martial art, Adimurai, alongside the female leads Sneha and Mehreen Pirzada and the film's antagonist Naveen Chandra. Arivu has penned the lyrics for the 'Mavane' song while also singing it along with the film's composer Vivek Siva with the track since its release going on to be lauded by fans for its intensity as well rap verses.
