Director R Kannan who is known for making movies like Jayam Kondan and Ivan Thanthiran has completely wrapped up the shooting of his next film, Kasethan Kadavulada. The shooting has been wrapped up at a quick pace in just 35 days and it has been completed in a single schedule. Kasethan Kadavulada is the official remake of the 1972 comedy classic of the same name, directed by Chitralaya Gopu. Muthuraman, MRR Vasu, Thengai Srinivasan, Lakshmi, and Manorama played the lead roles in the original version. The remake will star Mirchi Shiva and Priya Anand in the lead roles and the duo be seen pairing once again after Vanakkam Chennai. Kasethan Kadavulada features an ensemble star cast that includes the likes of Yogi Babu, Karunakaran, Oorvashi, Cook with Comali fame Sivaangi and Pugazh, Thalaivasal Vijay, and others.

The film has cinematography by Balasubramaniem. The film is produced by Masala Pix, in association with MKRP Productions. Now that the shooting is completed, the post-production works for Kasethan Kadavulada will now kickstart in full flow and the makers are said to be planning to release the film towards the end of this year. It is going to be a challenging task for director R Kannan and team to recreate the magic of the original version and let us see how the film has shaped up. Director Kannan has already completed two films that are lined up for release - Thalli Pogathey and The Great Indian Kitchen remake. Thalli Pogathey stars Atharvaa, Amitash Pradhan and Anupama Parameswaran in the lead roles and it is the official Tamil remake of Ninnu Kori. The other film is the remake of the recent critically acclaimed Malayalam film, The Great Indian Kitchen, and it stars Aishwarya Rajesh and Rahul Ravindran in the lead role. Both the films are waiting for a proper release window.
