Indian 2 shooting spot accident - Kamal Haasan's official statement

The past 12 hours have turned out to be a devastating time for the entire team of Indian 2 after three technicians had succumbed to their deaths owing to a crane falling on them. The incident yesterday (February 19) at EVP Film City where the shooting for Lyca Productions' Indian 2 had been happening for several days has sent shock waves across the film industry. The film's lead, Kamal Haasan, who was also present on the film's sets, has now expressed condolences on his social networking pages to the three deceased - Krishna (Assistant Director), Chandran (Art Assistant) and Madhu (Production Assistant).

Kamal Haasan's statement reads as follows: "Today's tragedy is the most horrifying in comparison to the mishaps that we have overcome. I am standing having lost three comrades. Beyond my own pain, the sufferings their families are enduring are greater. I am taking part in their sorrows as one among them. My deepest condolences to all of them." Post the tragic incident at the Indian 2 shooting spot, Kamal Haasan further added saying, "I have spoken to the doctors about the treatment for those injured in the accident and all necessary medical relief measures are being taken.
