Lyca Productions' official statement on Indian 2 crane accident | Shankar
The entire Tamil cinema industry is in a great state of shock after hearing about the major crane accident at the shooting spot of Indian 2, last night. A giant crane fell on the ground, more precisely on a tent where the monitor was placed. 3 people who were inside the tent died at the spot, while a few others suffered injuries. Following that, Lyca Productions have now released an official press statement, sharing a few details about the accident. The press note also carries the name and identity of the three people who lost their lives.
Lyca’s statement reads, “No words could ease what we truly feel. We are extremely saddened with the unfortunate accident happened at the sets of Indian-2 yesterday (19th FEB 2020). We have lost 3 of our most hardworking technicians. Krishna (Assistant Director), Chandran (Art Assistant), Madhu (Production Assistant). Our deepest condolences to their family members. May their soul rest in peace.”
We at Galatta Media pray for the departed souls to rest in peace. We will have to wait for some more time to know what director Shankar has to say about the accident. A deeply devastating dark incident in Tamil cinema’s history. Check out Lyca’s tweet below:
