Harish Kalyan is simultaneously working in two films – Dharala Prabhu and the untitled Tamil remake of Telugu blockbuster Pelli Choopulu. Dharala Prabhu’s shooting has been completed and the film is in its post-production phase whereas the shooting of Pelli Choopulu remake is currently taking place in Chennai at a brisk clip. Both the films are remakes and we hope both turns out commercially successful for Harish Kalyan. Pelli Choopulu is a feel-good romantic film which starred Vijay Deverakonda and Ritu Varma in the lead roles. This remake rights were first with Gautham Menon who was planning to produce the film with a title called Pon Ondru Kandein featuring Vishnu Vishal and Tamannaah Bhatia but unfortunately, this project did not take off.

The remake has now been revived again, but this time, with a completely fresh team. Harish Kalyan will play the male lead reprising Vijay Deverakonda's character while the sensational beauty, Priya Bhavanishankar will be seen as his love interest. The duo will be pairing together for the first time and the combination looks totally fresh and exciting. This remake is directed by newcomer Kaarthikk Sundar and will have music by Vishal Chandrasekhar. Bankrolled by A Studios LLP, in association with SP Cinemas, this romantic drama will be shot by cinematographer Krishnan Vasant. Harish Kalyan took to his Twitter space to share a few words about this film, he also shared an image from the shooting spot. “From the sets of my next, with the very talented and beautiful looking @priya_Bshankar. Marching towards the wrap of the film!! Title FL & more updates coming soon!”
