National Award-winning Tamil film director Seenu Ramasamy has wrapped up production in Kodaikanal on his next film, Idimuzhakkam, starring GV Prakash Kumar in the lead role. The acclaimed filmmaker and the music director-turned-actor took to social media to inform fans about the completion of the shooting on the upcoming venture touted to be a rural drama, with expectations for the film quite high ever since it went on floors nearly two months back. Taking to Twitter, GV Prakash tweeted his experience working on Idimuzhakkam saying he feels like a little boy returning to school after participating in a festival and shared a shooting spot photo. He also conveyed his joy about shooting the film and his return to Chennai, while expressing his gratitude to Seenu Ramasamy for the wonderful time he had with the entire team during filming. Responding to GV Prakash's tweet, Seenu Ramasamy showered praises on the composer, who is lovingly called 'Isai Asuran', while also complimenting him for his love for the Tamil language, his knowledge and qualities. Below is their interaction:

Idimuzhakkam has GV Prakash paired opposite Gayathrie Shankar of Naduvula Konjam Pakkatha Kaanom and Super Deluxe fame, with Saranya Ponvannan, Aruldoss, and Soundararaja cast in major supporting roles. Produced by Kalaimagan under the Skyman Films International banner, the film has music being composed by NR Raghunanthan of Sundarapandian fame, with Vineeth Sreenivasan, Sid Sriram, and Anthony Daasan singing the songs and 'Kaviperarasu' Vairamuthu penning the lyrics.

Apart from Idimuzhakkam, Seenu Ramasamy has two other films ready for release - the long-delayed Idam Porul Yeval and Maamanithan. While Idam Porul Yeval has not seen the light of the day due to financial issues, Maamanithan featuring music by 'Isaignani' Ilaiyaraaja and Yuvan Shankar Raja is expected to come out sometime soon.
