Jyotika is awaiting the release of her next film, Ponmagal Vandhal, which is scheduled to stream on Amazon Prime Video from May 29. Directed by debutant J.J.Fredrick, this film will feature Jyotika playing the role of a lawyer for the first time in her career. Her next release after Ponmagal Vandhal would be the untitled film, directed by Era Saravanan of Kathukutti fame. Produced by Suriya's 2D Entertainment, this film features an ensemble star cast including Sasikumar, Samuthirakani, Soori, Vela Ramamoorthy, Sillu Karuppatti fame Nivedhithaa Sathish and others.

We've now got an exclusive update regarding the film's progress from cinematographer Velraj, who is cranking the camera for the film. In a recent Facebook live session with Galatta Media, Velraj said, "Had the Corona scene not occurred, we'd have finished the shooting by now. Anyways, we have almost finished shooting the film. We just have one or two more days of shoot left and it will be done once the situation gets normal. It is coming out really well."

This rural social drama will have music scored by D Imman who is in his prime form. The film is edited by Ruben. Apart from this film, Velraj is also working on Saravana Stores Annachi's debut film, directed by JD - Jerry, and another film produced by Vetri Maaran, starring Andrea.
