For the first ever time, Dhanush took part in a Twitter Spaces session, last night (June 7) and the session witnessed a record breaking number of listeners. Dhanush participated in the Twitter Spaces session, as part of the digital promotions of his next film, Jagame Thandhiram, which is scheduled to release on Netflix on June 18. Produced by Sashikanth under the banner of Y Not Studios, Jagame Thandhiram features Game of Thrones fame James Cosmo as the main villain. Karthik Subbaraj has directed the film which has music composed by Santhosh Narayanan. During last night's Twitter Spaces session, Dhanush answered several interesting questions and those answers have now been garnering attention on social media.

One of the fans asked Dhanush about his next directorial film for which the highly talented actor mentioned that it would not happen anytime soon. Talking about it, Dhanush said, "Actually, I am also highly interest to direct a film. I have an exciting script that is so close to my heart and I want to do it soon. But, it is all about the right time. By God's grace, I have been continuously getting opportunities to work with exciting talents. As an actor, I am able to work with directors like Mari Selvaraj, Karthik Subbaraj, Ram (Kumar of Ratsasan fame), and I recently met a couple of other young and talented filmmakers. The announcements regarding those projects will be made when the time is right.

Fortunately, I have been getting nice opportunities as an actor and I want to capitilize on that. I don't see myself directing any film for the next three years". Well, interesting answer, right? Dhanush made his directorial debut with the film, Pa Paandi which starred Rajkiran in the lead role. The film was a success at the box office and it struck a chord with the audience. Dhanush started his second directorial film with SJ Suryah, Nagarjuna Akkineni, Aditi Rao Hydari, Srikanth, and others, but the shooting was halted in the midway due to certain production issues.

However, we will now have to wait for a minimum of three years to see Dhanush wear the directorial hat!
