Dhanush is all set for the release of his next film, Jagame Thandhiram, which will be releasing on Netflix on June 18. The film has got huge expectations and it is believed to attract a solid amount of viewership. Jagame Thandhiram is directed by Karthik Subbaraj and has music scored by Santhosh Narayanan. Produced by Sashikanth under the banner of Y Not Studios, Jagame Thandhiram features Aishwarya Lekshmi as the female lead and Game of Thrones fame James Cosmo as the key antagonist. Joju George, Kalaiyarasan, Sharath Ravi, Deepak Paramesh, Sanchana Natarajan, and others will be seen in supporting roles.

Ahead of the film's release, Dhanush took part in a Twitter spaces session, last night (June 7), and notably, Dhanush was the first big league star to participate in a Twitter spaces session. The interaction had a record-breaking number of listeners and the fans were highly delighted to hear Dhanush's voice after a long time. During the interaction, Dhanush answered various interesting questions and those answers have now been garnering attention on social media. During the session, Dhanush expressed his interest to do a sequel to Jagame Thandhiram.

Talking about it, Dhanush said, "Depending on how the audience reacts to Jagame Thandhiram, we might decide on the sequel. Also, Karthik should write a story that lives up to the expectations. He should get an idea and feel that it would work well. But, if you ask me, I am definitely interested and ready to do Jagame Thandhiram 2. I was so excited when I got to play Maari character. I enjoyed it so much and I wanted to do the second part of that film. Suruli was one such character that I enjoyed while shooting. So, I am definitely open to it, but as already said, Karthik should come up with its story".
