As the world continues to battle the coronavirus pandemic, a cure is yet to be found for the dreaded disease with governments and health officials advising people to adopt social distancing and self-isolation. As the death toll numbers keep increasing around the world, India too hasn't seen much of an improvement in terms of those affected by the COVID-19 outbreak. The Ministry of Health and Family has now officially announced that the last 24 hours have seen the sharpest increase in the number of cases recorded, which includes 40 deaths and 1035 people testing positive for the coronavirus.

As of now, India's total number of COVID-19 positive cases has risen to 7447 among which includes 6565 active cases followed by 643 cured or discharged or migrated and 239 deaths. Among the states leading with the total number of confirmed coronavirus positive cases, Maharashtra has recorded 1574 people declared to have been affected followed by Tamil Nadu with 911 and Delhi standing at 903.

Relief measures are being carried out extensively across the nation by the Central and State governments with people from all walks of life too making contributions in some form or the other.
