Popular model turned actor Arav Nafeez’s father passed away last year on December 20 due to multi-organ failure and cardiac arrest. Arav's father had reportedly worked as a professor at the Trichy Government Law College, with many celebrities in the Tamil film fraternity, including fans expressing their condolences over the news of his demise last year. Arav, who shot to fame across Tamil Nadu after winning the title of Bigg Boss Tamil season 1 in 2017, has now paid an emotional tribute to his father on the occasion of Father's Day.

In his statement, Arav informs how the vaccum of his father's passing away is still felt by him and his family members, while also talking about how he was happy to witness his wedding prior to his demise. Arav speaks about the final moments leading up to his father's death, while also announcing the start of the Dr. K. Nilamudeen Education and Charitable Trust on his Late father's name on the occasion of Father's Day.

Arav's statement is as follows:

"It's 6 months today since my Dad has left us. The vacuum is still felt everywhere and everyday. Early last year my Dad was diagnosed with CKD 4th stage. The Doctor said "Your Dad was taking too much care of his Students and forget to take care of himself", and with the expression on the Doc's face I understood something wasn't right. I left the Hospital with an undisclosed tear and a heavy heart.

I grew up as a strong & brave man, but my only fear from childhood was to face my Dads death, which I wasn't so strong enough to face. But that day in the Hospital I realized, the day is not so far. My Dad was in serious trouble and I dint want him to know that. I told him he's going to be fine in 6 months. From then I never left his side a single day.

My mom and Dad were inseparable souls. They were always together. They were an example of how one has to live his life as couple - "Give and take". His only wish was to see me getting married. So amidst the pandemic my wedding happened.

We created as much as memories we can to make him happy. Gave him a lot of surprises. We did whatever we can to make him happy. And we tried all we can to keep him with us for long. But God has a different game altogether. He left us to a better place on 20th Decemeber 2020.

Love your parents for what they are, spend time with them, create memories. Life is very uncertain. He gave me the wings to fly and explore. Life without him has really changed a lot. I really miss calling you "Vaapa" and talking to you. On this day, I'm happy to announce the start of "Dr.K.Nilamudeen Education and Charitable Trust" on my Late fathers name.

Happy Father's Day Vaapa

Love you forever"
