A film that has generated a lot of chatter among fans right from the moment it went on floors, Arya's Sarpatta Parambarai under Pa. Ranjith's direction is scheduled for a premiere on July 22 on Amazon Prime Video and is skipping a theatrical release in view of the pandemic. With the Sarpatta Parambarai trailer receiving a knockout response from fans last week, the much-awaited 'Vambula Thumbula' video song has now been officially released ahead of the film's streaming premiere. 

The 'Vambula Thumbula' song features vocals by Gaana Muthu, Isaivani, Gaana Dharani and Santhosh Narayanan, who has composed all the tracks in Sarpatta Parambarai. A foot-tapping local kuthu song, 'Vambula Thumbula' picturised on Arya has lyrics penned by Kabilan and is no doubt going to be yet another hit from Santhosh Narayanan. It is to be noted that Sarpatta Parambarai's theme song titled 'Neeye Oli', which has become a chart-buster, includes vocals by Navz-47 and Shan Vincent de Paul, who also has penned the English lyrics, while Arivu has written the Tamil lyrics. 

The hype for Sarpatta Parambarai is huge, especially after the release of the film's trailer that showed Arya as a ripped boxer, with the story set in the backdrop of North Madras in the early 1980s. The film is also carrying massive expectations as fans await to see Pa. Ranjith's work after a gap of three years since his Kaala. Apart from Arya, Sarpatta Parambarai has John Kokken as the antagonist, with Dushara Vijayan as the female lead, followed by Pasupathy, Kalaiyarasan, Anupama Kumar, Sanchana Natarajan, Santhosh Prathap, John Vijay among others in pivotal roles.
