Natty’s controversial tweets against Bollywood director Anurag Kashyap’s is the talk of the town. Anurag and cinematographer Natrajan started their film career together but parted way after working in three projects. A couple of days back, Natty took to his Twitter space to say something very rude against Anurag for ignoring him after reaching fame. The cinematographer/actor even called Anurag Kashyap as a fool. Anurag Kashyap, in a series of tweets, apologized to Natty for ignoring him all these years.

“Been reading a lot about Natty‘s outburst being reported in the media. For the record, I want to state here that he is not just my friend but we grew together in the cinema. When I did not know how to communicate my shot to my cameraman, he taught me how to. He was my teacher, he showed me how to move a camera, he was my first collaborator. He shot “Last Train to Mahakali”, “Paanch” and “Black Friday”. We lived our Years of ban and obscurity together. It was Natty who introduced me to Tamizh cinema.
Viral: You are a fool said Natty, know what Anurag replied? Viral: You are a fool said Natty, know what Anurag replied?Viral: You are a fool said Natty, know what Anurag replied?
It was Natty who introduced me to director Bala , it was him who made me meet Rajni Sir, he showed me my first Tamizh film starring Dhanush directed by Selvaraghavan . Without subtitles. After which I discovered other Tamizh cinema. So if he feels hurt by something and has an outburst, because of a certain expectation from me , he has every right and it’s between two friends. And he comes from a place of love and honesty. Natty has taught me so much and has been with me in my most obscure years. And please hear him .. I just got off the phone with him and all he has been doing is trying to reach me.. so please leave him alone and treat this as my official statement on the matter. His hurt is genuine. I wasn’t there when he needed me and I didn’t know about it. So let me say it very clearly . “I am sorry Natty “.

Anurag Kashyap got his major break as a co-writer in Ram Gopal Varma's crime drama Satya (1998), that’s when he became friends with Natty and they Paanch together after that, which never had a theatrical release due to censorship issues. They then went on to make Black Friday, a film based on the namesake book by Hussain Zaidi about the 1993 Bombay bombings. Its release was held up for two years by the Central Board of Film Certification because of the pending verdict of the case at that time, but was released in 2007 to widespread critical appreciation. We are glad to know that Anurag has come forward to patch up with his long-time friend Natty. Hope, we get to see this talented duo united for a film soon.
