Bollywood actress Ananya Panday shot to fame in quick time after her debut in Student of the Year 2 in 2019, following which she landed roles in Pati Patni Aur Woh, Khaali Peeli, while also making a special appearance in the 'Kudi Nu Nachne De' song in the late Irrfan Khan starrer, Angrezi Medium. Ananya, daughter of Chunky Panday and Bhavana Pandey, had been in the limelight long before her entry in cinema, and was a subject of trolling on a number of occasions for her physique and social media posts. In that light, Ananya opened up about her reaction to the body-shaming trolls, including how she has come to "accepting herself" over time.

Speaking to Bollywood Bubble, Ananya Panday told, "People used to say I look like a boy, flat screen. At that time, it did hurt because those are the years where you are forming your self-confidence. You are learning to love yourself and someone else is pulling you down then you really start doubting yourself. Now, I am reaching a point where I am focusing on accepting myself and loving myself." She added, "If that is sorted and that is my foundation then nothing can hurt me since I am at peace with myself and I love myself. I am not saying it has happened. It is an ongoing process but I feel this realisation is more important than what anyone else says."

Ananya had back in 2019 launched a campaign called 'So Positive' urging people to restrain all forms of bullying on social media. The up-and-coming actress was also trolled earlier that year for misspelling the word "angels" in the Charlie's Angels post that included her friends Suhana Khan and Shanaya Kapoor. On the work front, Ananya will next be seen in Siddhant Chaturvedi and Deepika Padukone’s untitled film being directed by Shakun Batra, while also making her South Indian debut in Telugu sensation Vijay Deverakonda's pan-Indian venture, Liger
