American singer Halsey has given birth to a baby boy. The 26-year-old singer, who has done voice roles in films like Teen Titans Go! To the Movies and Sing 2, while also making a cameo appearance in A Star Is Born, dropped the good news on Instagram along with sharing a picture from the hospital. Informing fans that she has named her first child Ender Ridley Aydin with screenwriter boyfriend Alev Aydin, Halsey expressed her gratitude to fans for their wishes and love.

The news of her baby's birth has come nearly two weeks after Halsey announced her punk-rock album titled, 'If I Can't Have Love, I Want Power'', slated for release on August 27, calling it "a concept album about the joys and horrors of pregnancy and childbirth." Posting two photos from the hospital, Halsey wrote, "Gratitude. For the most "rare" and euphoric birth. Powered by love." She announced her pregnancy in late January when she posted on social media the news saying, "My pregnancy was 100% planned, and I tried very hard for this bb."

Earlier in an interview on The Doctors tv show, Halsey spoke about her miscarriage on stage before she had time to process the news of her pregnancy. She stated that she had been battling endometriosis, which leads to infertility, after which she underwent surgery for it in 2017. In February, Halsey for the first time showed her scars on her lower abdomen caused due to the surgery in an Instagram Story. She wrote, "The scars that got me this angel", while adding the hashtag #endowarrior

On the work front, Halsey's third studio album, Manic, was released in January 2020 and she was scheduled to do a world tour, which was cancelled due to the pandemic. She has since then collaborated with various artists like Kelsea Ballerini (The Other Girl), Marshmello (Be Kind) and Juice WRLD (Life's a Mess) for their singles.
