Vishnu Vishal's blockbuster hit Tamil film Ratsasan is all set to be remade in Hindi and the details regarding the remake are now out. Leading Bollywood star Akshay Kumar will be playing the lead role, reprising Vishnu Vishal's character, while Rakul Preet Singh has been signed to play the female lead. The film is tentatively called Mission Cinderella (or Cinderella), but the makers are yet to finalize the title. The Hindi remake of Ratsasan will be directed by Ranjit M Tewari, who has directed Akshay Kumar's latest outing, Bell Bottom, which is currently running in theatres across the globe.

As the majority of the states in India, including Maharashtra and Tamil Nadu, are yet to reopen theatres, the film has not witnessed great numbers at the box office, despite the positive reviews. Mission Cinderella will mark the second outing of Akshay Kumar and director Ranjit M Tewari. The shooting of the film kick-started yesterday (August 20) in London and the makers have planned to shoot the majority of the sequences there. The makers made the official announcement on the commencement of the shoot through social media and the update has made the fans look forward to the project.

According to reports, the film is set in Shimla and the team has planned to recreate Shimla in London. Due to the Covid-19 restrictions in India, the team has opted to shoot the film in London. The film will be produced by Pooja Entertainment. Ratsasan is a film that turned out to be a sensational hit among the Tamil audience and the film was raved for its intriguing screenplay and it is going to be interesting to see how the film is made in Hindi.
