Shocking: 36-year-old is youngest Corona Virus victim to die in Tamil Nadu; got virus from vendor!
The state of Tamil Nadu has one of the highest number of COVID-19 positive cases in India and the death toll in the state rose to 23, on Saturday (April 25th). It came to be known that man who had been admitted to the Chromepet Government Hospital, in Chennai, with Severe Acute Respiratory Infection (SARI), had lost his life on Friday (April 24th) night. However, his body was tested for the COVID-19 Virus and when the results came in on Saturday, it was found that he had tested positive. Due contact tracing led the health officials to identify that he had contracted the Corona Virus from vegetable vendors in his area (Kundrathur) and 5 other vendors also tested positive and 4 of the victim's family members have since been quarantined.
IT had originally been mentioned in the State Health Bulletin that the victim was 34-years-old but it has been verified since that he was 36 and is as of now, the youngest victim to lose his life to the deadly Corona Virus, in Tamil Nadu. The TN Government has announced a 4-day complete lockdown in 3 districts including Chennai, Coimbatore, Madurai and Salem, & a 3-day lockdown in Salem & Tiruppur. However, this led to an overcrowding of market places and shops on Saturday (April 25th) and has increased the worry of unchecked spreading of the Corona Virus. The nation-wide lockdown is in effect till May 3rd and it remains to be seen if the lockdown would be continued or lifted, post this date. Stay tuned...
