'DNS': Dhanush's New Film Title And First Look Release Date Announced, 'D51' Team Says

Two-time National Award-winning Tamil actor Dhanush's next big film being directed by acclaimed Telugu filmmaker Sekhar Kammula is progressing at a steady pace ever since it rolled into production in January. The upcoming film also starring Telugu superstar Akkineni Nagarjuna is tentatively titled DNS and also features national sensation Rashmika Mandanna as the female lead, with Hindi actor Jim Sarbh of Gangubai Kathiawadi (2022) and Rocket Boys (2022) web series fame set to appear in a pivotal role. DNS, which is incidentally Dhanush's 51st film and is also being called D51, is all set to have its title announced and the first look poster unveiled, as per the team's latest update on Thursday, March 7. 

Sharing a special poster, Dhanush's D51 team has announced that the much awaited DNS title and first look will be out on Friday, March 8 at 4:05 p.m. on the auspicious occasion of Maha Shivratri. The team in their announcement poster also hinted the leading Tamil actor's role in the film writing, "In the aura of a ethereal power witness the SPARK OF A MAN bound to make an impact this shivaratri 🔱 #DNSTitleFirstLook unveiling on March 8th at 4:05 PM 🔥" (sic) This latest announcement from the DNS team will no doubt come as happy news for Dhanush's fans everywhere, who have been waiting for a glimpse of the star ever since principal photography began a couple of months back. 

The buzz surrounding DNS has been huge right from the get-go after it was revealed that Dhanush is collaborating with National Award winner Sekhar Kammula and is his next with a Telugu filmmaker after he hit the bullseye with Venky Atluri in Vaathi (2023). The film will also feature songs and a background score by blockbuster Telugu composer Devi Sri Prasad, who has become a much sought after name after the stupendous success of Pushpa: The Rise - Part 1 (2021), which earned him a National Award. DNS is one of the many projects Dhanush is currently working on starting with  his second directorial Raayan and his third filmmaking venture Nilavuku Enmel Ennadi Kobam, a film each with directors Mari Selvaraj and Arun Matheswaran, and his next Hindi venture, Tere Ishk Mein, which is third-time reunion with Bollywood filmmaker Aanand L. Rai after Raanjhanaa (2013) and Atrangi Re (2021).
