The entire country is hooked to the smash hit reality TV show, Bigg Boss, currently airing in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu, with the Malayalam and Kannada versions not yet begun. The Hindi version of Bigg Boss, which began on October 3, is in its fourteenth successful season, with Bollywood superstar Salman Khan hosting the show for the eleventh time. Likewise, Bigg Boss Telugu season 4 kicked off on September 6, with actor Akkineni Nagarjuna returning to host for the second consecutive time. Similarly, Bigg Boss Tamil season 4 is already underway and has been bringing phenomenal ratings for Vijay TV and Hotstar under Kamal Haasan, who is hosting once again after three seasons continuously.

With an astounding response for all three versions of Bigg Boss currently around the country, BARC India (Broadcast Audience Research Council India), which is a tech & insights body tracking the TRP ratings of each television program, has now has officially released the analytics of the show's performance in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu. BARC has in its latest analytics report stated that the Salman Khan-hosted Bigg Boss 14 was watched by 1.4 billion people around the country on the show's launch day, followed by 3.9 billion watching during the entire launch week. BARC's analysis also states that 2 billion people watched Bigg Boss Tamil season 4 on the show's launch day under host Kamal Haasan, with 1.7 billion watching during the entire launch week. Finally, the Bigg Boss Telugu season 4 being hosted by Nagarjuna has drawn a viewership of 2 billion people on launch day, the report stated, while adding that 1.3 billion watched the show during its launch week. The audience estimates are derived from survey samples and as such subject to variation, BARC has stated. They have also informed users in their latest analytics release to consider all estimates in conjunction with confidence intervals or standard derivations.

Based on the latest statistical analysis research survey report presented by BARC, we can say that Bigg Boss 14 being hosted by Salman Khan has come out on top during its launch week, followed by both Bigg Boss Tamil season 4 under Kamal Haasan and the Nagarjuna-hosted Bigg Boss Telugu season 4 drawing in top viewership during the show's launch day. Considering there is still a lot more to go down in regard to each of the versions of Bigg Boss in the months ahead, we can expect these figures to change with the passage of time.
