It is by now a well known fact that the deadly COVID-19 Novel Corona Virus doesn't discriminate between people in any way and affects anybody and everybody, irrespective of their social standing, gender, caste or creed! Utmost caution is advised to people to safeguard themselves from being infected by the virus. However, some people still throw caution to the winds and do not follow even the basic mandatory precautions, as instructed by the health officials. Now, it has come to light that an entire village in India, has tested positive for the COVID-19, except for 1 person!
Latest reports state that the entire village of Thorang in the Lahaul region of Himachal Pradesh, with the exception of just 1 man, has tested positive for COVID-19! The only person who tested negative for the Corona Virus, is said to be a 52-year-old man called Bhushan Thakur. This Thorang village is situated in the Lahaul region along the Manali-Leh highway. Reports also state that the entire village could have been affected due to community transmission, originating from a religious event, which was held just a few days ago.
Some media reports state that people in the villages neighbouring Thorang, have also tested positive for COVID. Now, in a measure to contain any further spread of the Virus, the authorities have blocked tourist movement to Teling Nullah, which is a very popular spot towards the North portal of the Rohtang Tunnel. We also hear that tourists have been barred from entering villages in the Lahaul region itself. Currenty, there are said to be only 42 residents in Thorang, as the remaining people have moved to Kullu, for the winter season. Of these 42 people, except for Bhushan Thakur, the remaining 41 people have tested positive! Stay tuned for updates...
