Blockbuster Tamil film composer Yuvan Shankar Raja issued a clarification on Thursday, April 19, addressing the controversy surrounding his Instagram account. Taking to X (formerly Twitter), the hit music director informed his followers that there are technical issues with his Instagram page, while adding that his team is currently working to recover it. Yuvan Shankar Raja posted, "Hey guys, Thank you for the concerned messages. It's just a technical error, my team is trying to recover my Insta account and I'll be back soon 😊Love, always!" (sic)

Yuvan Shankar Raja's latest statement has come at a time after many social media users earlier in the day speculated that he might have deactivated his Instagram account claiming that he had faced backlash from 'Thalapathy' Vijay's fans for the "Whistle Podu" song in the Tamil superstar's upcoming film, The Greatest Of All Time. Billed to be a high-octane action entertainer, the song in the Venkat Prabhu directorial sung by Vijay and Yuvan to the lyrics penned by Madhan Karky is already a chart-topping hit having crossed 25.5 million views on YouTube in the first 24 hours.
The Greatest Of All Time marks the second time Yuvan Shankar Raja has collaborated with Vijay after their Pudhiya Geethai (2003) and there are huge expectations for the rest of the songs in the film's album after the smashing response to "Whistle Podu". The film is scheduled to open in cinemas worldwide on September 5 and will see Vijay in dual roles sharing screen space with Meenakshi Chaudhary of Kolai (2023) and Guntur Kaaram (2024) fame cast as the female lead, followed by Prashanth, Prabhu Deva, Ajmal Amir, Jayaram, Sneha, Laila, Mohan, Yogi Babu, VTV Ganesh, Premgi Amaren, Vaibhav, Aravind Akash, and Ajay Raaj, among others in key roles, while Trisha Krishnan will be making a cameo appearance. Apart from The Greatest Of All Time, Yuvan also has in his lineup films Yezhu Kadal Yezhu Malai, Star, and Garudan in Tamil to name a notable few.
