Director Vishnu Varadhan is a prominent filmmaker in Tamil cinema, known for his collaboration with Ajith Kumar in movies like Billa and Arrambam. Vishnu has also directed films like Arinthum Ariyamalum, Pattiyal, Yatchan, etc. The talented director will be making his debut in Hindi cinema with the upcoming action drama, Shershaah. The film features Sidharth Malhotra and Kiara Advani in the lead roles and it is based on the life history of Indian Soldier, Captain Vikram Batra. The film will portray the life journey of Captain Vikram Batra and how his bravery helped India in the 1999 Kargil War. The makers unveiled the trailer of the film last night (July 25) and the trailer looks highly promising.

The trailer is packed with some intense and action-packed moments that keep you glued to your screen. The visuals look grand and the production value of Shershaah is indeed astonishing. Director Vishnu Varadhan garners good attention with his execution skills and he manages to prick the curiosity of the audience. Kiara Advani looks to play the love interest of Sidharth and she is just seen through a few romantic scenes. Shershaah will have a direct OTT release on Amazon Prime Video on August 12, ahead of Independence Day. Considering the fact that Shershaah is a patriotic action film, releasing the film during the Independence day weekend is surely exciting. Produced by Karan Johar's Dharma Productions, in association with Kaash Entertainment, the film has cinematography by Kamaljeet Negi and editing by Sreekar Prasad.
