Vijay Antony is a popular music composer turned actor who has acted in many popular films that are known to have different plots. The actor recently turned director in his latest film Pichaikkaran 2: Anti Bikili which was released in theatres on May 19. He also bankrolled the film under the banner of Vijay Antony Film Corporation headed by his wife Fatima Vijay Antony. The film was released in multiple languages including Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada and Hindi. The film opened to mixed reviews from movie buffs. 

After the release of Pichaikkaran 2, the filmmaker Vijay Antony has now done a noble gesture celebrating it's success. A video shared by GSL Medical College & General Hospital, a private hospital in Rajahmundry has become viral on social media. The video shows the actor arriving a the hospital and taking a selfie with the staff and patients there. He then gave some goodies to the kids who were present at the hospital and also interacted with the care takers. The actor then gave fruits to other patients in the hospital. Recently, Vijay Antony celebrated the success of Pichaikkaran 2 in Home for the homeless and underprivileged people in Rajahmundry and treated than with a meal. It was also reported that the actor also offered slippers and other basic necessities to those begging for alms inroads. These nobble gestures of the actor have raised the image of the actor among the public. It is speculated that the blockbuster hit film has collected over 14 crores at the box office.
