'Thalapathy' Vijay's The Greatest of All Time is progressing at a steady pace on the production front ahead of its grand worldwide theatrical release this year. The highly-anticipated film being directed by Venkat Prabhu has the blockbuster Tamil filmmaker teaming up once again with his frequent collaborator Yuvan Shankar Raja, and the expectations are huge for the duo to have another memorable outing. In the meantime, Venkat Prabhu, who has been consistently keeping Vijay's fans updated on the developments in The Greatest of All Time, last week addressed a curious social media user's request about the film's first single saying it's too early to share any updates.

A week later, on Friday, March 1, a fan who was impatient for updates on The Greatest of All Time, pressed for a word about the first single with an insult directed at Venkat Prabhu. The filmmaker, who was not pleased, reacted by saying that he initially was thinking about sharing an update, but asked Vijay's fans on what he ought to do next. In response to his query, another fan told Venkat Prabhu to continue carry on with his work in The Greatest of All Time, with the filmmaker then giving his acknowledgment.

Although there's no confirmation yet from Venkat Prabhu or anyone in The Greatest of All Time team about the film's first single, there is a buzz on social media that an announcement might be made sometime soon. There is a lot of excitement surrounding the film's songs as Yuvan Shankar Raja is composing for a Vijay-starrer after two decades when he last collaborated with the superstar in Pudhiya Geethai (2003), and is once again expected to come out firing on all cylinders with chart-topping hits. The Greatest of All Time will see Vijay sharing screen space with an ensemble cast featuring the likes of Kolai fame Meenakshi Chaudhary who is playing the female lead, while Prashanth, Prabhu Deva, Jayaram, Ajmal Amir, Laila, Sneha, Mohan, Yogi Babu, VTV Ganesh, Premgi Amaren, Vaibhav, Aravind Akash, and Ajay Raaj, among others will be seen making appearances in key roles.
