Actor Vijay's upcoming film, Master, being directed by Kaithi fame Lokesh Kanagaraj is currently being shot at various locations in Neyveli in the Cuddalore disrict in light of its release this April. With production progressing at a steady pace, the film's shooting faced a minor roadblock a couple of days back after Income Tax department officials had arrived at the film's sets and escorted Vijay back to Chennai for inquiry on his various assets. The I-T dept had issued a press release stating investigations are still ongoing on the actor's immovable properties and the remuneration he had received for his previous film, Bigil.

The shoot for Master had been brought to a halt owing to Vijay being brought back to Chennai for inquiries with talks going around now that production on the film is set to resume in Neyveli once again from today. It is further said that Vijay is en route to join 'Makkal Selvan' Vijay Sethupathi to continue where they had left off filming their portions.

Being produced by Vijay's relative, Xavier Britto under the XB Film Creators banner, Master featuring music by Anirudh Ravichander includes a huge supporting cast among whom include names like Malavika Mohanan playing the female lead, Shanthnu Bhagyaraj, Kaithi villain Arjun Das, VJ Ramya Subramanian, Gouri G Kishan and many others with Aadai director Rathna Kumar coming on board as the film's dialogue writer.
