Thalapathy Vijay’s Master is off to a phenomenal start at the box office and the shows are running with packed houses across the state. Directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj and produced by Xavier Britto, this movie features Makkal Selvan Vijay Sethupathi as the antagonist. After a patient and long wait for 10 months, Master released on January 13, ahead of the festive occasion of Pongal. The film has opened to mixed reviews from the general audience, but a majority of them have been appreciating the performances of Vijay and Vijay Sethupathi. The duo’s combination scenes and their individual performances seem to be the biggest takeaway of Master and the entire social media is abuzz about it.

Master has indeed helped the Indian theatre industry to revive and get back on track and all the theatre owners are extremely happy with the way the business is shaping up. The film has collected more than 25 crores on its first day at the Tamil Nadu box office and it is indeed a huge number, considering the fact that the film is running with 50% occupancy. The film’s advance bookings look solid and tickets are sold out at most of the theatres until the weekend.

Marking the Pongal festival, the makers of Master have now released a special throwback video which has now come as an exciting treat for the fans.
