The entire country has been praying for the good health and fast recovery of legendary singer S.P.Balasubrahmanyam who is currently admitted to MGM Healthcare Hospital in Chennai. The veteran singer was tested positive for Corona on August 5 and he has been under medication for the past ten days. The hospital management had released a statement yesterday (August 14) stating that SPB’s health condition has deteriorated, adding that he was critical. This news came as a big worry for the worldwide fans who expressed their love for him on social media. Leading actors and music directors across the country are praying for his recovery and everyone would definitely want him to be back to normalcy soon.

Having said that, the hospital management has now issued an official statement dated August 15 and in this statement, it has been revealed that SPB’s health condition is stable and is responding to the treatment. However, he is still on life support in ICU. The official statement reads, “Thiru S P Balasubrahmanyam who is admitted at MGM Healthcare due to Covid 19 continues to be on life support in Intensive Care Unit (ICU). He remains stable and the doctors are closely monitoring his clinical parameters”.

Balasubrahmanyam’s son SPB Charan shared his father’s health update through an audio note which has been doing rounds on social media. In this audio note, SPB Charan says, “I just want to update you all. I will talk in English in this audio so that it reaches everyone. I know there are a lot of questions and I have been getting calls. I thought this is one source that I have, to inform all of you. Dad is doing good. The treatment they’ve given him yesterday, putting him on ventilation is helping him. He is slowly showing signs of recovery. Doctors are very happy. We are also confident. In due course of time, not today or tomorrow, but he will be out of this crisis soon enough. He will be on his path to recovery quick enough. Any further updates, I will post it.

Going by these updates, it looks like all our prayers are being answered. Let us keep praying for this legendary singer! For now, check out the hospital’s official statement and SPB Charan’s audio message below:
