Silambarasan TR's Maanaadu is almost complete and the makers are left with just a few more portions to be completed. The shoot is expected to be completely wrapped up in the next few weeks. Meanwhile, a super exciting announcement from the makers of Maanaadu was made this morning (April 23) and it has excited the fans. Maanaadu has become a trending topic on Twitter because of the new announcement and the fans are already looking forward to it. The first single from Maanaadu will be released on the special occasion of Ramzan in May. The film's producer Suresh Kamatchi took to his Twitter page to share this delightful update with the fans.

The exact release date (whether May 13 or May 14) is yet to be known and we will wait for a few more days to get better clarity. Producer Suresh Kamatchi's tweet read, "Happy to announce that our #STR in #Maanaadu Movie Single wl b release on the Day of Ramzan.. stay tuned.". The film has music composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja who has a fantastic track record with Silambarasan TR. Yuvan and Simbu are known to have delivered chartbuster songs in the past and they will be looking forward to repeating the magic once again with Maanaadu as well.

The film is directed by Venkat Prabhu and he is said to have got a potential winner script in hand. Maanaadu is a film that has excited the fans ever since its announcement and it is touted to be one of the important films in Simbu's filmography. Maanaadu features Kalyani Priyadarshan as the female lead and SJ Suryah as the key antagonist. The fans are excitedly waiting to witness the face off between STR and SJ Suryah on the big screen and it is surely going to be one of the major highlights of the film. Maanaadu's star cast also includes SA Chandrasekhar, Bharathiraja, Karunakaran, Premgi Amaran, Daniel Annie Pope, Manoj Bharathiraja, Udhaya, and others.

The film has cinematography handled by Richard M Nathan and editing by Praveen KL. Maanaadu will be a political drama that will have showcase Simbu in a new dimension.
