Ranganayaki - Volume 1 - Virginity is an upcoming Kannada film with the story, screenplay and direction by Dayal Padmanabhan. An official selection in this year's Indian Panorama section of the International Film Festival of India in Goa, Ranganayaki - Volume 1 - Virginity is now the only Kannada film to be chosen to be screened for the 2019 edition. Starring Aditi Prabhudeva as the lead alongside Trivikram and Srini in vital supporting roles, the film has been produced under SV Narayan’s SV Entertainment banner and features music by Manikanth Kadri with the dialogues penned by Naveen Krishna. The technical team of the upcoming drama also includes Venkat Dev as the co-director followed by Rakesh B for cinematography and Sunil Kashyap handling the editing. With the film gearing up for its theatrical release, the makers have now released an intense trailer.

Ranganayaki - Volume 1 - Virginity revolves around how a rape victim comes face-to-face with the outcomes of the inhumane treatment meted out to her after it is told to her that it was merely an accident. A while back, it was reported that director Dayal Padmanabhan would be making one film a year in the Ranganayaki franchise with each venture to be based on the subject of women empowerment.
