Puppy, the adult comedy-drama film features Varun making his debut and the Comali actress Samyuktha Hegde in lead roles. The movie also has Yogi Babu is an important role as well. Puppy is written and directed by Nattu Dev on his directorial debut who was an associate to Kaaka Muttai director Manikandan earlier. Puppy is produced by Ishari K. Ganesh under his production banner Vels Film International and the music for the film is composed by Dharan Kumar.

Puppy released on October 11th and the film was received well by the younger audience. Following the success, the team has released a deleted video from the movie.
