99 Songs, the upcoming Hindi-language musical romance film has managed to build some expectation as it marks the debut of the popular musician AR Rahman's debut as a co-writer and producer, apart from composing the original score and songs. Directed by debutant Vishwesh Krishnamoorthy, this film stars debutants Ehan Bhat and Edilsy Vargas in lead roles, alongside Aditya Seal, Lisa Ray and Manisha Koirala among others portraying supporting characters. Cinematography is handled by Tanay Satam and James Cowley as the editing is taken care by Akshay Mehta and Shreyas Beltangdy. 99 Songs is produced under the banner of Ideal Entertainment and YM Movies with Jio Studios as the distributors. The film is a sensual story about art and self-discovery of a struggling singer who wants to be a successful music composer.
