A popular name in the Malayalam film industry, Sandra Thomas, an accomplished producer and also having appeared in a few supporting roles in notable ventures, was admitted to a hospital a couple of days ago, after she began experiencing low blood pressure and heart rate. She has been moved to the intensive care unit (ICU) after being diagnosed with severe dengue. The news was informed by Sandra Thomas' sister, who is running the former's Facebook page, and added that her health is improving. Her FB post reads as follows: "Hi Everyone… Chechi(Sandra Thomas) is admitted in the hospital due to low BP n heart rate. She is diagnosed with severe case of Dengue and in ICU right now, it’s been 2 days… Her condition is improving ..requesting prayers for her speedy recovery... ️."

Sandra Thomas established herself as a producer with an eye for spotting the good stories and is an active social media user, where she often interacts with her followers, while also sharing various other developments from her personal life. She ventured into film production by collaborating with Malayalam actor Vijay Babu and formed the Friday Film House banner. The film, Friday, was her first venture as a producer, while she has also lent support to projects like Aadu, Adi Kapyare Kootamani, Peruchazhi, Philips and the Monkey Pen, Zachariayude Garbhinikal to name a notable few. Despite Friday Film House tasting consistent success, Sandra and Vijay Babu decided to split ways in 2017, with the production house currently being run only by the latter.
