Blockbuster Tamil filmmaker Lokesh Kanagaraj's debut film as a producer has officially been revealed and is titled Fight Club. The upcoming film directed by debutant Abbas A Rahmath and starring Vijay Kumar of Uriyadi (2016) and Uriyadi 2 (2019) fame is coming out under Lokesh Kanagaraj's production banner and will open in cinemas worldwide as a grand December release. The Fight Club first look poster in blood red color features a shirtless Vijay Kumar rocking a six-pack abs, who looks like he's ready for a big bloody battle.

Fight Club is Vijay Kumar's first film in the lead role under another filmmaker's direction and is touted to be loaded with plenty of high-octane action sequences. Considering Lokesh Kanagaraj is a fan of the action genre and Vijay Kumar's Uriyadi films also feature powerful fight sequences, it is no surprise that the team has locked in on the title, which is the same as the cult classic Hollywood film, Fight Club (1999), starring Brad Pitt, Edward Norton, and Helena Bonham Carter. Fight Club will include music by 96 (2018) composer Govind Vasantha and lyrics penned by Arivu, Asal Kolaru, GKB, Gana Micheal, and Sharfu, with dance choreography by Sandy master. Sharing the big announcement, Lokesh Kanagaraj wrote on X, "A new beginning! 🔥✨ Super kicked to present #FightClub featuring @Vijay_B_Kumar  machi and gang 🤗❤️ Directed by @Abbas_A_Rahmath A #GovindVasantha Musical". (sic)

The technical team of Fight Club features the likes of cinematographer Leon Britto, editor Kripakaran P, art director Ezhumalai Adikesavan, with stunt direction by Vicky and Amrin Abubaker, sound design and editing by Renganathan Ravee, sound mixing by Kannan Ganpat, and costume designer Dinesh Manoharan, while the additional dialogue is written by lyricist Vishnu Edavan and Nijathan. There is quite a lot of excitement surrounding Lokesh Kanagaraj's Fight Club as the filmmaker has launched his production venture after rising to the top of the Tamil film industry in less than a decade with his five directorials - Maanagaram (2016), Kaithi (2019), Master (2021), Vikram (2022), and the recently-released Leo, and fans will be looking forward to what he and Vijay Kumar have in store up ahead next month.
