Legend Saravanan's debut film, The Legend has released in theatres amidst high expectations and it has opened well in the theatres. The first shows began at 4 AM across the state and the shows went houseful. For a debutant actor, such an opening is surely a special feat and several theatre owners also expressed their thoughts about the same. Rhevanth Charan, the Executive Director of Rohini Silver Screens, Koyambedu, took to his official Twitter page to speak about the opening of Legend and his tweet read, "4 AM Main screen #Legend sold out organically !!! What an opening for a debut star with no cinema background !!! @yoursthelegend @RohiniSilverScr #FansFortRohini".

Similarly, Rakesh Gowthaman, the Managing Director of Vettri Theatres, Chromepet confirmed that The Legend has taken a good opening at the box office and shared a video of the fans celebrating the release occasion. Sharing the video, he tweeted, "#TheLegend takes a good opening being Thursday release & the occupancy is comparable to any decent star of Tamil Cinema 👌🏽 👌🏽 👌🏽 Crazy atmosphere here in #Vettri during the interval - audience celebrating with #LegendSaravanan standee … @yoursthelegend".

Ruban Mathivanan of GK Cinemas, Porur, also shared a similar video in which we see the fans cheering and enjoying the intro sequence of Legend Saravanan. The Legend is directed by popular ad filmmakers duo JD - Jerry who have already made films like Ullasam and Whistle. Produced by Legend Saravana Stores Production, the film has music composed by Harris Jayaraj whose songs have become massively popular among the masses. Urvashi Rautela and Geethika Tiwari play the female leads in this film that has late actor Vivekh, Yogi Babu, Prabhu, Vijayakumar, Latha, Nassar, Robo Shankar, and others in supporting roles. The film has cinematography handled by Velraj while Ruben has taken care of the editing.
