General MM Naravane - the Chief of Army Staff (COAS) has revealed to the Press and Media that there are currently 8 identified positive cases of COVID-19 Novel Corona Virus, in the Indian Army. Detailing about these cases, he mentioned, "So far, we have only 8 positive cases in the entire Indian Army, of which 2 are doctors and 1 is a nursing assistant. 4 are respoding well to treatment and we had one case in Ladakh, now he is fully cured and has joined duty." The Army General mentioned this to ANI, in Kupwara.

The General further added that all Army personnel who have not come in contact with any infected person is being moved back to their unit. The Army has already arranged for two special trains, one from Bengaluru to Jammu and the other from Bengaluru to Guwahati. The General went on to say that while India is helping the world fight the Corona Virus by exporting medicines and sending medical teams to various parts of the world, Pakistan is busy exporting terrorism.
