Actor Jiiva’s Gypsy created quite a lot of curiosity ever since the project went on floors and was given an ‘A’ certificate by the Censor Board with the film finally coming out in theatres last week on March 6. Gypsy is a romantic road drama film and has been directed by Raju Murugan, which is the second directorial after he won the National Award for Best Feature Film in Tamil for his 2016 political satire, Joker. Produced by Olympia Movies and featuring music by Santhosh Narayanan, the film has been receiving positive word-of-mouth from fans, who have been lauding the bold theme of the venture, which is going strong in theatres.

The makers of Gypsy have been carrying forward with innovative promotions in the form of scenes that have been cut from the film's theatrical cut and have now released the fifth censored sequence featuring Jiiva. Gypsy includes Natasha Singh as the female lead followed by Malayalam actor Sunny Wayne in a major supporting role. Be it the film's trailer, two teasers and the number of promos that have been released, the reception for the marketing surrounding Gypsy has been consistent.
