The past few days have been a testing time for actress and choreographer Gayathri Raghuram on Twitter after she went into a dispute with followers on the social networking forum regarding her views on religion and God after ''Makkal Selvan' Vijay Sethupathi's speech at 'Thalapathy' Vijay's Master audio launch this past Sunday. During the Master audio release event, Vijay Sethupathi had stated that only humans will come to the rescue of fellow beings and informed fans to not mix up humanity with religion or God; especially when the world has been affected by the coronavirus pandemic. 

Post Vijay Sethupathi's speech at the Master audio launch, former Bigg Boss star Gayathri Raghuram tweeted countering the versatile actor's statement saying luck must favor him in believing others since beliefs cannot be destroyed among crores of believers across all religions. She further added saying she feels sorry for the star for believing another human who usually lie and hate at any given instant. Her tweet read as follows: "Good luck with believing another human nanba. No beliefs can destroyed. There are crores of believers (all religion) and if you think we all are dumb, I feel sorry you for believing another human who can lie and hate instantly. Life is designed by god only".

The tweet had since then received a strong reaction both in favor and against with Gayathri Raghuram many labeling her as an extremist and fundamentalist for intruding with her beliefs. Taking to her Twitter page once again, Gayathri Raghuram has now tweeted saying, "I pray my god and follow my religion without disturbing others and they call me “matha veri pudithavargal”. I call those who intrude us and speak about us unwantedly and have no ethics in life as “Kama veri pudithavargal” they r that kind". Check out Gayathri Raghuram's latest tweet:
